Help & Support
What actually earns me money?
This depends on the type of merchants in your arcades. Some merchants pay out a percentage of the sale value, others pay a lump sum when one of your visitors registers or pays for a service. What you will actually be credited when your visitors complete the transactions are provided when you are selecting your merchants for your arcade(s).
How do I know when a visitor has performed an action that earns me money?
We will contact you by email normally within 48 hours of a visitor (or you) performing an action that qualifies for commission. We will tell you how much and which merchant was used to achieve this.
What is a 'Pending' commission?
When a commission is credited to your account it initially appears as a 'pending'. These transactions will remain as pending until the merchant has verified the commission as valid. This generally takes from a few days to weeks. How long precisely depends on the merchant and type of transaction. Merchants will pay out for valid transactions that are past a 'cooling off' or 'return' period.
What is a 'validated' transaction?
A validated transaction is one that been checked by the merchant and has gone past the 'cooling off' or 'returns period'. Validated transactions are approved for 'cash out'.
What is a cash-out & how often can I request one?
A cash-out is a withdrawal of approved commission. When you have made a cash-out request you cannot do one for another 2 weeks. We make daily payments so you don't have to wait until month's end for the cash to get to you. We will deal with your cash out as soon as possible, normally within 72 hours.
What is the minimum cash-out?
You are able to request a cash out once you have reached £5.00 of confirmed earnings. There is no limit to the amount you can accumulate in your account.
How will I receive my money.
In your account area you can select payment method. This will be by Cheque or BACs (directly to your nominated bank account). BACs is quicker and more efficient than cheque. Please be aware that there is a £1 surcharge for each cheque e.g. £30 cash-out will be paid a cheque for £29.00.
What is a 'bonus commission'?
'Bonus commissions' are extra ways for you to benefit from your shopping arcades. These are paid at approx 50% of the standard commissions as stated in your merchant directory.

Bonus commissions are credited for 1 of 2 reasons.

1. At the bottom of your arcade there is a link that allows your visitors to visit 'other merchants'. These are merchants not endorsed by you, but still maybe relevant for what your visitor is looking for. If they complete a transaction through these you will earn bonus commission.
2. If a visitor has subscribed to the newsletter via your arcade page (and hasn't subscribed to another arcade manager's newsletter), you will receive 'bonus commission' for any transactions they may complete through these.

See more info on the subscribers newsletter below.

The usual 'pending' / validated conditions apply to 'bonus commissions'.
Why is a commission missing or rejected?
A commission is marked as 'rejected' if the merchant rejects or reverses the transaction. This could be for many reasons including (not exhaustive) : the item purchased was returned, the holiday cancelled, the insurance policy not taken up, the registration cancelled or invalid or duplicate details were used during the transaction.

It is essential that when sharing your arcades with other people, particularly when promoting merchants who pay per lead or registration, that your visitors complete these on their own computer in their own household or workplace. Completing transactions or registering to services on other people's behalf is strictly prohibited.

Multiple lead based transactions with a merchant, generated from a single computer or household will not appear in your account. This may also result in the merchant being removed from your account and ultimately your account being closed. Myshoppingarcade.com incorporates sophisticated systems that allow us to detect unusual or fraudulent activity. Please see our terms and conditions.

A lead based transaction can be:
• a transaction where no purchase is necessary
• a transaction where a you receive a lump sum commission for a one-off registration or sign up.

If a reason for rejection is supplied to us, we will inform you by posting a message next to the transaction in your account area.

Please see below for tips on performing successful transactions and what to do if one is missing or wrongly rejected.
What happens when I use the merchants myself
As an arcade manager you earn the full commission as mentioned beside the merchant within the directory (plus bonuses may apply). As long as you are logged in, the merchant doesn't have to be added to your arcade to achieve the maximum commission.
Do I earn commission for the special offers too?
Yes. Merchants inform us when special offers are available. We automatically add these to relevant merchants in your arcade, and to your subscribers emails. If you or your visitors take up these offers, you will receive the relevant commission.
Tips on performing successful transactions
In our experience 95% of all commission due is tracked successfully and credited to users accounts. It is important to remember that because there is a very slight chance of a transaction not tracking, you should use services for their value to you and not solely for commission.

You probably won't have much control over your visitors computers, but when using merchants yourself, these tips will maximise the chances of commission being credited:

Firewall blocking adverts?
Corporate or educational firewalls may block adverts from displaying. If this is the case, use myshoppingarcade from a different computer.

Ensure your browsers cookies and javascript are enabled.
These are enabled by default so unless you've done anything to deactivate them, you shouldn't need to do anything.

Clear cookies regularly
Some merchants will only pay one commission per new cookie. This means when you make your first purchase, they set a cookie and when you re-purchase they don't credit the commission again. It's best to clear cookies before each transaction. You may want to consider installing a second browser such as Firefox just for using myshopping arcade. A second browser will allow you to keep your cookies clear for MSA without effecting other websites you use.

Security software blocking click tracking
Though security software is very important for the smooth running of your computer it is possible it's blocking the cookie tracking required for transactions. These programs include Norton internet security, Zone alarm and others. It might be worth checking the settings to make sure cookie tracking is enabled. If you're still having problems, e.g. a blank window opening when you're expecting a merchant or confirmation screen, it may be an idea to turn off any pop-up blockers if installed.

Ip Changing software installed?
Do not use IP shadowing or changing software when using merchants to try to disguise repeat transactions. If this is detected by us or the merchant the transaction will not be credited and your arcades may be closed.

Keep your operating system and virus checking up to date.
It has been known that some viruses have installed themselves to prevent your commission being credited to actions through your arcade. Ensure you virus check regularly.

Remember, most transactions are credited without a problem.

If you know that a transaction has been wrongly rejected by the merchant, or is missing from your account please contact us. We will do what we can to reverse the decision. However, if a merchant doesn't pay us commission we cannot release it for cash-out.
